Bangkok imposes face mask rule with THB20,000 fine for violators
Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) underlined on Monday that everyone must wear face masks in public – even family members in the same car.
The requirement for mandatory mask-wearing in public to protect people against Covid-19 was issued on Saturday and came into effect today (April 26).
People driving alone in a vehicle are exempt from the requirement.
People caught violating the order can be fined up to THB20,000 as per the Communicable Disease Act.
