Myanmar launches fresh aerial strikes on KNU soldiers on Thai border

The Myanmar military launched aerial attacks on Karen National Union (KNU) soldiers stationed at their camp near Thailand’s Mae Hong Son province. The latest attacks took place at around 10.30pm when Myanmar fighter jets and helicopters attacked the KNU soldiers.

The Myanmar air force has launched several attacks since April 27, after the KNU soldiers seized a Myanmar soldiers' camp.

The conflict between the Myanmar forces and the KNU has created more than 2,000 war refugees, who are now under the care of the Thai government.
