Thundershowers forecast for Bangkok, isolated heavy rains in North, Central and South
Thundershowers are forecast for all regions of the country with isolated heavy rains in the North, the Central and the South, the Thailand Meteorological Department said on Saturday.
The southwest monsoon prevailing across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand is weakening, the department said.
Waves 2-3 metres high and above three metres during thundershowers are expected in the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution, while small boats should keep ashore, the department said.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours:
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 25-27 degrees Celsius, highs of 32-36°C.
North: Cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26°C, highs of 34-37°C.
Northeast: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-26°C, highs of 33-36°C.
Central: Cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-26°C, highs of 34-37°C.
East: Cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-26°C, highs of 32-36°C; waves 1-2 metres high and over two metres during thundershowers.
South (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-25°C, highs of 34-35°C; waves 1-2 metres high and two metres during thundershowers.
South (west coast): Thundershowers in 70 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 22-24°C, highs of 30-33°C; waves 2-3 metres high and over three metres during thundershowers.
