Death toll increased by 41, while 5,459 patients were cured and allowed to leave hospitals.
The country’s total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 2,185,497 – 2,120,691 of whom have recovered, 43,479 are still in hospitals and 21,327 have died.
Separately, another 110,704 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, 162,632 their second shot and 143,000 a booster, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide to 98,856,753.
According to Worldometer, confirmed cases globally had risen to 273.24 million on Friday, 245.37 million of whom have recovered, 22.52 million are active cases (89,344 in severe condition) and 5.35 million have died (up by 6,549).
Thailand ranks 24th in the global list of most cases, which is topped by the US with 51.44 million, followed by India with 34.72 million, Brazil with 22.2 million, the UK with 11.1 million and Russia with 10.13 million.
