The death toll has risen by 20, while 2,181 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals.
The number of cumulative cases in the country since January 1, 2022, stands at 2,333,566.
The country’s total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 4,557,001 – 4,502,156 of whom have recovered, 23,867 are still in hospitals and 30,978 have died.
Separately, another 1,548 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, 2,497 their second shot and 19,654 a booster, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide to 140,674,938.
According to Worldometer, confirmed cases globally had risen to 566.56 million on Saturday, 537.74 million of whom have recovered, 22.43 million are active cases (38,998 in severe condition) and 6.39 million have died (up by 1,540).
Thailand ranks 27th in the global list of most cases, which is topped by the US with 91.17 million, followed by India with 43.73 million, Brazil with 33.25 million, France with 32.82 million and Germany with 29.69 million.
