Alicia Keys visits Yolanda survivors

American singer Alicia Keys on Monday visited survivors of Typhoon Yolanda ahead of a concert in the Philippines.

The Grammy-winning R&B artist handed out crayons and colouring books to children at the Villamor Air Base in Manila, where survivors from the devastated areas were staying.
Keys, wearing a white shirt and jeans, briefly chatted with the survivors and social welfare officials, according to the Philippine Information Agency.
The singer arrived in Manila on Sunday for a one-night show on Monday. It was her second trip to the Philippines.
“Music has a way of lifting your spirit and that’s what I hope to do for the Filipino people,” she told the Philippine Star newspaper in an interview.
More than 5,200 people were killed and over 4 million displaced when Yolanda slammed the eastern Philippines on November 8. At least 1,613 were still missing.
