Families of MH17 Malaysian dead still waiting for return of bodies

The remains of 43 Malaysian victims of Malaysian Airlines MH17 are not expected to be returned home before Eid al-Fitr, Prime Minister Najib Razak said yesterday.
Najib said his wish of seeing the bodies returned to their families before Eid al-Fitr was not possible due to technicalities involved in the DNA verification process.
He said it was crucial the identification process was done in accordance with strict procedures to ensure evidence would stand up in the course of legal proceedings against the perpetrators behind the incident.
He also expressed anger that international investigators were still unable to have full access to the crash site, adding that he would hold talks with Ukraine authorities on the matter.
Najib spoke to reporters after signing the condolence book at the Netherlands Embassy.
