Benz backs up after X-ing Japan

X Japan frontman Yoshiki did wear a woman's traditional Thai costume at the rock band's concert at Impact on Tuesday, but maybe calling him a transvestite wasn't a good idea.

Actress Porchita “Benz” Na Songkhla got flooded with complaints after saying on Sorrayuth suthassanajinda’s Channel 3 show that Yoshiki was very generous in helping Thai flood victims but he looked like sao praphate song.
The resulting furore on the social media got Benz to apologise, sort of.
She couldn’t have been too surprised. X Japan’s fans braved thick traffic to see the concert and Yoshiki amply rewarded them, not just in the music department but also with a lot of chatter in Thai and by wearing that elegant Siamese outfit while playing one of our best folk songs, “Duen Pen” (“Full Moon”).
He also dedicated “Taiji” – a tribute to the band’s late bassist – to those who’ve lost their lives in the Thai flooding.
After the show Yoshiki tweeted, “Thailand! We Fxxkin Rocked together last night!” (Yes, he actually used the X’s.) “You were amazing! We’ll be praying for you! Love you!”
Benz apparently wasn’t quick enough to respond, so the next day Sorrayuth apologised on her behalf for that little transvestite remark. He quoted Benz as saying she was sorry. Somewhere, maybe she is.

Soaked, still single
Among the many weddings postponed due to incoming waves is that of actors Napasakorn “Tuk” Mitaim and Piyathida “Pok” Woramuksi, who planned to tie the knot next month.
“It would be too difficult now to arrange the wedding for December,” Tuk says. “Pok’s home [in Nonthaburi] is flooded and will require a lot of repairs.”
Not just that, but so many of their earning gigs have also been postponed that they’ll be busy catching up next month.
So the wedding’s off for now and Tuk says their families understand. No new date has been earmarked, but let’s just say they’re hoping that 2012 will be a nice, uneventful year in terms of natural disasters.
