True Corporation has collaborated with the movie studio GTH to present the 10 virtues of His Majesty the King and celebrate the Monarch’s seventh-cycle birth anniversary with the film “Thang Yak Wad Jai”.
“Our aim in presenting this movie is to offer better knowledge and understanding of the King’s virtues and edicts. Most importantly, we would hope that the messages conveyed in the film will inspire young people and encourage them to do good in their daily lives,” says Adhiruth Thothaveesansuk, managing director of True Money Company’s Convergence.
“This movie doesn’t focus on the youth only but applies to everyone. However, it is mainly aimed at teenagers and working people who spend time networking on social media like Facebook and Twitter. This project has a website on which people can share their experiences of doing good deeds,” he adds.
This movie is the latest activity in True’s “Tham Dee Hai Phor Doo” (I Will Do for King) campaign. It follows last year’s “Ruam Palang Porpieng” (“Sufficiency Power”), “Learning about Sufficiency Economy” in 2009 and “12 V 12 Kham Dee Phuea Phor” in 2006. It is based on the royal virtues of “Dana” (charity), “Sila” (morality), “Pariccaga” (altruism), “Ajjava” (honesty), “Maddava” (gentleness), “Tapa” (self-control), “Akkoda” (non-anger), “Avihimsa” (non-violence), “Khanti” (forbearance), and “Avirodhana” (uprightness).
There are three segments and they are directed by three young talents from the GTH studio – Nitiwat “Ton” Taratorn of “Seasons Change”, Chayanop “Moo” Boonprakob of “Suckseed” and Sophon “Jim” Sakdapisit of “Laddaland”. Pitisak “Tae” Yaowananon stars in all three egments. He’s a guy named Tong who is forced to make a decision after knocking over a motorcyclist. Most of the other players have been picked from the ranks of are “Academy Fantasia” Seasons 4, 5 and 6 with Issaree “Micky” Thongthammaroj as the main actress.
“The movie offers three alternative endings. After viewing this movie, people can compare, understand and find more ways to make a decision about what they would do in the same situation,” says the managing director.
