Parker, a leader in the world of pens, recently launched its flagship store at CentralWorld with a party on the concept “Write Your Own Story”.
Among the celebrities who shared their stories, using their favourite Parker pens of course, with the appreciative audience at the event were food writer ML Parson Svasti, who recounted his life as a food critic and columnist. “I review at least 40 restaurants each month and need to note down a lot of things to ensure complete coverage of all relevant information. When I choose a pen, one of my priorities is therefore its writing quality,” said ML Parson.
Ploy Chariyaves wrote of her experiences and impressions in her “Travel Journal” while Ravit “Pip” Teutvongse showed another facet of his life as an artist with some beautiful drawings he created using pens. Designer Polpat “Moo” Asavaprapha recalled the beginning of his Asava fashion brand through a collection of sketches.
“In the same way as an athlete or a ballet dancer has a favourite pair of shoes, a creative professional usually has a pen that is his or her intimate friend. This pen must be inspiring, be it because of the weight, silhouette or design. Both Asava brand and I, as an individual, share the aesthetic taste of ‘less is more’,” Said the designer.
The event wrapped with a minifashion show featuring Parker’s latest pen collections and accessories modelled by Nawat “Pong” Kulrattanarak, Pakorn “Boy” Chatborirak, Phuphum “Ken” Bhumiratana and Kimberley Anne Tiamsiri.
