Thai bodybuilders bagged five medals, with bantamweight Suwit Meesil's gold-winning performance shining brightest in the 11th Southeast Asian Bodybuilding Championships in Rangoon, Burma this week.

The Thailand Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Association sent six bodybuilders for the five days of competition ending this week. Besides the gold from Suwit in the under-65kg class, Thailand claimed four bronze medals through Amnouy Chuamuangpan (under-60kg flyweight), Pairat Panaosri (under-75kg light-middleweight), Nathakorn Arbsuwan (under-85kg middleweight) and Wanchai Saengsuriyarith (under-85kg middleweight.
“Though we won only one gold medal through Suwit, it was a job well done,” said TBPSA president Pakpong Kriangsak.
“I am confident these bodybuilders will raise their standards by taking part in more international competitions in the years to come.
They all need continued support to fulfil their future goals.”
