If tourists aren't rushing to Thailand after all the unsolved deaths, perhaps you need to look at the police.
They are, for the most part, honest and hard-working but very underpaid, so it’s easy to bribe them into looking the other way or just not bothering.
I am confident that if the government paid the police and military an amount that allows them to have a family and do their jobs, you will see far more results and the criminal element would find it far harder to influence them. The police and military are the foundation for the security of Thailand. Make that foundation firm and reliable.
