I am not surprised the premier Yingluck Shinawatra defended the Finance Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong, saying that he had good intentions for the country to raise confidence in Thai exports. But I am concerned this means if anyone in the government has good intentions in whatever and are prepared to tell “white lies” to the public – is that acceptable?
Instead of only defending the finance minister that he had good intention to boost the confidence in exports, why does the premier not urge him to find out a way to resolve the crisis of trust [his comment created]. Because the premier has still left the phenomenon “white lies” which has drawn much criticism and ruined not only the government’s confidence, but has also dramatically damaged the country’s confidence. The premier must do something besides protecting him, to reestablish public trust.
