Six candles to blow for 2 Magazine

The popular lifestyle rag throws a Gatsby themed party at the Grand Hyatt Erawan

Lynn Visudharomn, editor in chief of 2 Magazine, just loves to party. She’s also passionate about the arts, music and fashion, which is why the ritzy designs of the 1920s popped into her mind while she was planning the bash to celebrate her lifestyle magazine’s sixth anniversary.

The 28-year-old editor and her team recently transformed the Grand Hayatt Erawan Hotel ’s Ballroom into a cool 1920s-themed great Gatsby-style soiree.
Dressed up in 1920s costumes, more than 600 guest celebrities, fashion designers, models, artists and businessmen were greeted outside the venue by the latest swanky cars from Yuma Motors.
Some posed in front of the walls, which were covered with the past issues of the magazine.
Entering the ballroom, guests tested their fate with the lucky dip and uploaded their pictures to the magazine’s Instagram site.
Jazz band Konetto kicked off the night, setting the scene with jazzy ballads. Then sexy gay singer Gene Kasadit, his hair in Gatsby style, entertained the crowd with his cool numbers. He was followed on stage by artist Michael Showanasai clad in denim and a bodytight tee.
Female super-hyper artist Fiona Wayland presented modern renditions of classic roaring 20s' tunes, while up coming rock ’n’ roll darlings Helmetheads rocked the crowd with an energetic set.
