ESPN becomes Fox Sports on True Visions
Fox International Channels (FIC) Asia, the pay-TV network of News Corporation, said it launched Fox Sports in Thailand and various countries across Asia from yesterday.
Following News Corporation’s successful acquisition of ESPN’s partnership interest in ESPN Star Sports (ESS) in November last year, all ESPN networks were renamed as Fox Sports networks on True Visions, such as: ESPN to Fox Sports, available on True Visions 108, and ESPN HD to Fox Sports Plus, the high-definition channel, available on True Visions 136
Star Sports on channel True Visions 109 will remain unchanged.
Subscribers of ESPN networks in Thailand will continue to get Grand Slam tennis (Australian Open, Wimbledon), events from the WTA Tour and ATP World Tour and the Hopman Cup, motor-racing (Formula One, SBK, MotoGP, NASCAR, Dakar Rally), the Golf Majors (The Masters, US Open and The Open Championship) as well as the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, popular American sports (Major League Baseball, NCAA College Football and Basketball), and premier Asian sports (Asian Football Confederation events, ASEAN Basketball League, OneAsia golf tournaments, HSBC Asian Five Nations) among others.
