Bangkok recently welcomed the arrival of Asia’s first Whisgars on Sukhumvit Soi 23, where discerning drinkers and smokers get rare and sumptuous treats of Scotch whiskies and fine cigars.
ChindAsia Capital Partners, a leading lifestyle investment company, has launched Asia’s first Whisgars in the heart of Bangkok as part of an ambitious strategy to grow the new brand across Southeast Asia.
Drawing on its experience of managing the distinguished Club Perdomo Bangkok, a private members’ club, ChindAsia’s new premier whisky and cigar bar concept presents one of the largest collections of single cask whiskies in all of Asia along with premium hand-rolled cigars of exceptional quality, |amid refreshingly modern surroundings.
With the company’s recent acquisition of whisky distributor Spirit of Scotland, the bar also offers a vast range of premium hand-selected single cask whiskies direct from Scotland.
Jason Nelson, executive vice president of ChindAsia, explains that, “Whisgars is unique in the Thai market as it enables whisky connoisseurs and cigar enthusiasts to indulge in the finer things in life without having to purchase annual membership of a club.
“Whisgars will offer the chance to learn about exotic and limited edition whiskies and cigars, broadening customers’ horizons and encouraging the enjoyment of responsible sophistication.

The selection is unrivalled in Thailand with over 300 labels and over 40 types of premium cigars.
Whisgars Bangkok is the first of more than 30 locations to be launched in Asia in the next three years. Later this year Whisgars will open in Koh Samui and Phuket.
