Hello Lek! Let's talk about those upsetting rumours

You can gossip about Naphaporn "Lek" Boriratnangkura all you like. She doesn't care

The rumour mill ground out an aromatic yarn about the executive at the Swiss Hotel Park Nai Lert living separately from her husband, Korn Narongdej, who’s one of the chiefs at KPN. And they’d only been married for a year and two months, after dating for a year.
Too shocking to be true? Lek isn’t shocked – but nor is she saying whether it’s true or not. She discussed the situation without hesitation in separate interviews with the magazines Hello! and Let’s Talk (and what a friendly pair of magazines they are). But not once did she confirm or deny the gossip, and the friendly magazines demurred when it came to pinning her down.
Hello! had a big spread last year on her posh wedding reception for 1,400 guests. Maybe they should rename the magazine Hello Again! Only slightly late for the first anniversary, Lek was back, this time saying, “There are so many rumours about me – whether I’m seeing someone else or not. Pi Korn knows all about them.” Lek said Korn is a good man with a kind heart, and meanwhile she’s still her same old self and never really changes. “I don’t think someone can really change permanently.”
Over at Let’s Talk, she repeated that she “wasn’t upset at all” about the rumour. “I think it’s good that people are thinking about me. If they forget me it means I’m a boring person!
“I’m not the paranoid type. And I’m not an actress either, so I don’t need to prove anything to anyone,” she said. “My family knows what I’m doing, and as long as I don’t damage the family’s reputation, that’s enough.”
They’re thinking of renaming the magazine Let’s Talk Vaguely.

Baitoey and her Man
Oh, look, sexy luk thung signer Suteewan “Baitoey” Thaveesin is in the news for something other than not wearing much. Evidently someone (it must have been a woman) noticed that she was sporting a fancy new ring on her left hand. “Is that an engagement ring?” a reporter dutifully asked.
Baitoey proudly said it was a gift from her boyfriend, DJ Pattanapol “Man” Kunchorn Na Ayutthaya, marking their first anniversary as a dating couple. “It’s not a proposal ring – I’d like to be in a relationship for a year or two before I consider getting married.”
And what did she give him? Well, she didn’t think she had to give him anything! “The man should be the one to remember dates like that, I think,” she said.
Baitoey probably underwent the same grilling from her mother, who they say is amazingly conservative for the parent of a woman who dresses like that. Mum is keen to see Baitoey settle down – and have some financial security. “When my mum met Man she joked that she’d be expecting Bt10 million from him if we get married.” Man was quick with a comeback: “Can I pay that in instalments?”
