Rockers Lomosonic return to the music scene with a brand new album

Thai rockers Lomosonic, who are best known for their dynamic live performances, recently held a press conference at Cosmic on RCA, to introduce their long-awaited second album “Echo & Silence”.
The band, which features singer and songwriter Peerasit “Boy” Poltan, drummer Chandej “Auto” Chanjumroen and guitarists Chatchai “Pom” Ngamsirimongkhonchai and Piti Sahaphong, integrates a variety of genres into their act, from electronic, progressive rock, post rock, punk, metal, and melodic ballad.
DJ Wararit Mangkalanon from 98 Fat Radio served as emcee at the event, interviewing the band about the new double CD and the success of the YouTube clip featuring one of the lads’ singles.
“The album follows on from our debut, which was called ‘Firework’. Echo is like the reverberation from an exploding firework while Silence signifies the conclusion of a jigsaw that’s made up of stories rather than pieces.
“This new album is a double CD with a total of 20 songs. We started as a live band and the melodies and arrangements come from that experience,” says Boy.
“Our songs aren’t just about love but also politics, religion, philosophy, society and life. Our first single is ‘Thueng Wela’, which essentially tells fans that the time has come for us to return to the music scene. ‘Khwam Roosuek Khong Wannee’ is a sad song,
‘Yak Ja Rak Khae Nai’ talks about the loss of a friend and ‘Kep Wai’ says that even when a relationship ends badly, there are always some good memories.” he explains.
The concert part of the press conference opened with brief sets by Smallroom’s Spoonfulz, Summer Stop and When.
Lomosonic then charged out on to stage and rocked through “Ued” and “Yieb” and four other cuts, and also played  “Wan”, “Baad” and “Dokmai Fai” from the debut. Boy had fun body-surfing over the audience.
The band is currently on a nationwide tour to promote the new album, which is already deemed a major success with tracks “Wake” and “Felt” both nominated for Favourite Thai Music Video by the recent You2play Awards. “Kep Wai” has ratcheted up more than 200,000 views on YouTube and the boys are still counting.
