A publishing company collates the success stories of 45 Thai entrepreneurs in the hope of inspiring the new generation

Media Expertise International (Thailand) feels the best way to inspire young people is to give them examples of real success stories, which is why it recently launched the brand new coffee table book titled “Generations of Success”, which brings together the stories of 45 leading entrepreneurs in Thailand,
The launch, held over afternoon tea at the Swissotel Park Nai Lert Bangkok, was attended by a good number of the entrepreneurs featured in the book and featured a talk by Dr Kritsada Jangchaimonta of NatureGift 711, Vorasit Issara of Sri Panwa Phuket Resort and Nuttapol Jurangkool of Berkeley International School.
“The book covers success stories from the automotive, education, food, leisure and travel, living and design, media and communications, real estate and style and wellness sectors. “Readers will gain an insight into how the interviewees manage their business, overcome obstacles and achieve their goals,” noted Media Expertise International chief executive Dr Titikorn Theerapatvong.
Kritsada who has gone from slum kid to millionaire, says obstacles are part of the journey to success. “All the difficulties I faced became profound life lessons and taught me to be more cautious and not to repeat the same mistakes,” he said.
Vorasit agreed, saying that problems and challenges crop up every day but that he has learned to solve them one by one, rather than ignore them and letting them pile up.
“I know I have to work through them on my own. We started with about 5 or 6 people and today the hotel employs more than 300 staff.”
Nuttapol, whose family owns Summit Corporation, one of Thailand’s largest auto parts business, says he was determined to create an environment that encourages learning. “I’m a very detailed person. I have a vision in my head of how something’s got to be and I do my best to realise that vision down to the last detail.”
Other personalities featured in the book are Sompong Phaoenchoke of Thai Rung Union Car, Thaksa Busayapoka of Modernform Group, Paiboon Dumrongchaitham of GMM Grammy, Anuphong Assavabhokhin of Asian Property Development, Petch Osathanugrah of Bangkok University, Duangrit Bunnag of Duangrit Bunnag Architect Limited, Choak Bulakul of Chokchai Farm, Kridchanok Patamasatayasonthi of Index Living Mall, Naran Thamavaranukup of THG Prima Times, and Itthipat Peeradechapan of Tao Kae Noi Food and Marketing.
"Generations of Success” is in both English and Thai and available at leading bookstores for Bt540.
