WITH HER platinum blonde hair and signature sexy dresses, Donatella Versace is as much a fashion icon as the clothes she creates.
She’s also a talented interior designer and one of her latest projects is the new Versace boutique in the soon-to-open upmarket complex Central Embassy.
Versace, of course, has enjoyed a presence in Thailand for the best part of three decades but the new store is likely to be significantly different from its sister boutiques, according to Giuseppe Oliveri, managing director of Versace Asia Pacific, who recently made a pit stop in Bangkok.
“All our collections are about finding new styles and new trends and underlining the ‘Made in Italy’ brand. Gianni Versace was a real genius. It was he who extended the brand to other areas including home collections, designed suites and the Palazzo Versace six star hotels,” Oliveri says.
