A Chiang Mai gallery hosts a dazzling exhibition

EXQUISITE STAINED-GLASS creations echoing classic imagery from Eastern and Western art will be on view and on sale starting this weekend at Chiang Mai’s Sangdee Gallery.
Canadian expatriate Stephen Jepson, 59, now a resident of the northern province, believes himself to be Thailand’s only artisan specifically and professionally trained in stained glass. There are several prominent Thais working in the rarefied field, and last month’s Bangkok exhibition of works by the Italian Galileo Chini, who had such influence here in the 1930s, included stained glass.
