Bentley shows off its shiny new Spur

Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak, president of Bentley Thailand by AAS Auto Services, recently unveiled the latest luxury-performance sedan, the Bentley Flying Spur, in the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel.

It’s the fastest and most powerful four-door Bentley model to date.
Top businessmen, celebrities and other aficionados of super-cars were on hand, among them MR Sorut Visudhi, MR Malinee Chakrabandhu, Monlahcha Skulthai, General Pairoj and Kleddao Panichsamai, Varavut Laohapongchana and Suriyon Sriorathaikul.
“Our engineers have worked tirelessly to ensure that the Flying Spur is the perfect combination of power, comfort, refinement and hand-crafted quality,” Vutthikorn said. “Fitted with the very latest technology, it’s equipped both for business and relaxation while remaining a car to enjoy from behind the wheel.”
The Spur – in the colour of cashmere – is a remarkable luxury sedan not just because of the incredible speeds it can reach. From the sharp lines of its super-formed aluminium exterior to the handcrafted hide and veneer that adorn the interior, the expertise of Bentley’s craftsmen is evident throughout.
Every seam in the high-grade leather is individually sewn. Every layer of veneer is lacquered and polished by hand. The entire cabin, from the wood and the leather to the architecture that supports the car’s digital technology, has been fitted by hand. Even at its top speed of 200mph, the environment inside remains one of absolute calm – not least because of the soundproofing in the floor and doors.
As with the entire Bentley range, the Spur is built to individual customers’ specifications. There are 17 standard exterior colours, including “dark cashmere”.
Inside, the car is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Central infotainment is controlled through a high-resolution, eight-inch touch-screen interface, complete with Bentley’s advanced satellite navigation system and mobile connectivity, including a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The Rear Seat Entertainment suite and a new hand-held Touch Screen Remote allow passengers in the back to control a range of features as well.
