Leading lights in fashion give Camper comfort a lot of eye-catching looks
FOOTWEAR BRAND Camper has tapped the talents of top clothing designers and come up with some great shoes and boots for comfortable winter strolls.
The Camper Together line deploys wool, tweed, fur and Gore-Tex as cushioning, guaranteeing warmth and comfort in refined leather.
Designer-sisters Vera and Olivera Capara created pink T-Bar shoes and a pair of black ballerina slippers for women that balance sturdiness with elegance. They’re beautifully curved and feature two-tone rubber soles for extra protection and comfort.
Romain Kremer, the creative director at Thierry Mugler, tries a fresh approach in “hybrid” urban footwear, juxtaposing different colours and materials to make the usual city shoes look sportier. For women he made ankle boots with varying heel heights, one with a mono-block outsole and the other a flat rubber two-tone outsole with an interior wedge.
Kvadrat’s revamped Pelotas sneakers utilise Danish textiles for a new urban look for both men and women. They ring of street-savvy authenticity with the unpretentious use of coloured fabric.
Japanese firm Mintdesigns focused on beautiful textures in warm wool and soft leather to explore a concept called “Walking with Chairs”. They have reinterpreted the Camper slipper Wabi, wrapping it in striped wool.
