CHANNELS 5 and 7, both owned by the Royal Thai Army, recently joined up in an exercise to express gratitude and encouragement to soldiers posted to Narathiwat, one of the three southern border provinces where an insurgency has been raging for more than a decade.
Heading up the “Ruam Jai Song Rak Soo Ruo Khong Chart” (“come together to give love to the military”) activity were Channel 7’s Surasak “Oat” Chotinnawat, star of the drama “Plerng Tawan”, and Tharakade “Kade” Petchsuksai, who is currently shooting his new drama “Sao Noi Aoi Kwan”. They were accompanied by announcer Kullathida “Apple” Pongjam, who helped present consumer goods and sports equipment to soldiers attached to the ranger battalion at Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 in the province. The crew also visited injured soldiers at Sungai Kolok Hospital.
Oat and Kade sang for the soldiers and played football with them, bringing smiles to everybody’s face.
“We are very glad to take part in giving encouragement to these brave members of the military, who make sacrifices for the Thai people,” Kade said.
