Eric Bahrt refers to Ben Carson as an Uncle Tom, but Ben Carson is a celebrated retired brain surgeon who has the respect of all people of whatever colour. He has no need to pander to white people. He knows both blacks and whites have the same brain colour.
Ben Carson did not make a direct comparison between Obamacare and slavery. He said Obamacare is the worst thing that has happened since slavery.
Judged on a clear understanding of the English language rather than the bigotry of political correctness, the two are quite different.
Ben Carson did make it clear that he could not support the idea of a Muslim becoming the president of the USA and that is a very reasoned statement.
Muslims are followers of the creed of Islam. Islam is governed by the Koran and the Hadiths, which embody Sharia law. A Muslim president’s first allegiance would be to the doctrine of Islam and its laws. This doctrine is diametrically opposed to all that the American Constitution stands for. This is a clearly documented fact. It’s the truth.
Here is the nub of the issue: those people controlled by the bigotry of political correctness are blinded to the truth.
Ben Carson is completely opposed to political correctness as it flies in the face of the First Amendment, as does Islam. To say that is not bigotry, it’s a fact which is not critical of either the constitution or Islam.
As we have read with his comments on Thai politics, Mr Bahrt tends to be immersed in simplistic political correctness with its innate bigotry rather than seeing the broad issue by addressing the fundamental facts and truths. His forte is animal rights and health. He is right on both. He would do well to restrict his comments to those issues.
