Leading fashion design house Stretsis lends its roller derby savvy to Japanese icon Hello Kitty
NOT CONTENT with merely fronting a Bangkok cafe and spa, popular feline character Hello Kitty is taking to the catwalk this season with a range of casual black-and-white outfits and accessories designed by Stretsis in collaboration with Central.
Centred on the friendship between Kitty and her suitor Tippy as they head to the roller skating rink with Kitty’s constant sidekick, the teddy bear Tiny Chum, the designs are adapted from Sretsis’s Roller Stripes print from the Runway Rum summer collection launched earlier this year.
The new range features t-shirts, club jackets, leggings, scarves, Hello Kitty dolls wearing roller skates and an exclusive satchel as well hats, towels, thermos bottles, folders and stationary.
