Trump's racism a reflection of the Republican Party

The article notes that “Trump in this campaign has gone after African-Americans, immigrants, Latinos, Asia, women and now the disabled”. Despite this Trump remains the leading Republican presidential candidate (regardless of how the poll numbers break down by age group, education level, income, etc). That fact is a very sad commentary on the composition and character of the Republican Party.
