Road rage incident a tell-tale sign of our political woes

The incident last week in which a radio DJ was caught on video reversing his pickup truck and ramming a sedan repeatedly, then claiming that the other driver had damaged his truck by ramming it from behind, says so much about our current societal ills.

If the DJ’s actions had not been captured on video by a passer-by, his lie might have been believed by a society in which he enjoys celebrity status.
However, numerous and far more serious instances of hypocrisy are occurring in Thai politics. Politicians are more hypocritical than the DJ in this case – and are much more thick-skinned.
Even when caught red-handed – be it on audiotape or on video – these politicians are quick to divert the blame to others, or even reverse it by attacking their accusers.
In my opinion, voters should regard politicians the same way they do the unpredictable and venomous snakes. They might look and sound nice, but they are a menace to our society.
And the best approach to these politicians is to vote with our feet!
