Siam Discovery showcases the latest in bicycle designs from Japan, Britain, Germany and Italy

THE NEWLY renovated Siam Discovery invites anyone with a love for two wheels to come along to its Play Lab and drink in the latest designs in bicycles and biking gear from top brands in Asia and Europe.
Among the stars of the show are the new models from Tokyobike, an independent Japanese bicycle brand that’s as much about the journey as the destination. Lightweight and cool to look at, the bike is perfect for the urban rider. Also from Japan is the latest range of compact bikes from 5Links. Made from aluminium alloy, they are easy to fold and carry.
German brand Schindelhauer introduces a collection of premium city bikes with a durable frame made from quality aluminium AL6061-T6, a metal that’s used in aircraft. The Gates Carbon Drive Centre Track provides a powerful and reliable drivetrain for riding in foul weather year-round.
Schindelhauer has joined British bicycle maker Brooks in celebrating its 150th birthday by creating 100 Schindelhauer Ludwig 8 Brooks Jubilee limited edition cycles, four of which are available at Siam Discovery. They come in a special matte black and feature vintage-inspired handlebars, Brooks limited edition handgrips and Brooks saddles with copper buttons.
Another leading British brand Brompton is also in Bangkok with a wide range of bikes that can be folder down to nothing in just 10 seconds. Popular Italian brand Olmo mixes vintage design with high performance and advanced technology to deliver its two wheelers to professional cyclists.
Both Brooks and Tokyobike have a selection of fashionable helmets, vintage-style leather saddles and backpacks in different designs and colours.
Play Lab is on the fourth floor of Siam Discovery. Find out more by calling (02) 610 8214.
