Attapon Kunsa handed Thailand another gold medal at the IJSBA World Finals at Lake Havasu City, Arizona, USA on Wednesday when he crossed the finish line first in the Amateur Runabout 1000 Superstock as Supak Sejthura failed to make his mark in the Expert

Thailand claimed three gold medals when the racing took place on Tuesday. They comprised Thidapach Srivaurai in the Novice Women Ski Limited, Thipmongkol Khemsri in the Amateur Runabout 800 Limited and Kasidit Teeraprateep in the Novice Ski Stock. On Wednesday, another Thai jetski rider, Attapon Kunsa, made the country proud.

With hosts USA fielding five riders in the Amateur Runabout 1000 Superstock class, Thailand sent in potential riders from G-shock Jetski Pro Tour Thailand Championships to mount a strong challenge and vie for top honour.

Thai riders lived up to their expectation to make a one-two-three finish in the first moto. Attapon Kunsa from PTT G-Force Power Sport Rayong Team crossed the finish line first, followed respectively by Ekkachon Kingchansil from Freedom Racing Jetski Team and Teerapong Kunjeng from Singha PTT Team.

The results in the second moto remained unchanged which eventually saw Attapon claiming gold. Ekkachon picked up silver and Teerapong had to be content with bronze. Attapon's scintillating win has increased the Thai medal haul in the World Finals to four gold.

In the Expert Runabout Limited, Dane Marcus Jorgensen reigned supreme, relegating Thailand's Supak Sejthura and Teera Sejthura to the second and third places respectively. Supak was first at the finish line of the first moto, but came in second place in the second moto when Marcus overtook him at the final assault.

The IJSBA World Finals continue through Sunday.
