Bunyawi Leads Local Challenge into Hua Hin Circuit 3
Top seed Bunyawi Thamchaiwat scored a double bagel win over Leticia Giudici of Brazil 6-0 6-0 in the U$10,000 ITF Thailand Women’s Circuit 3 at True Arena Hua Hin on Monday.
Four other Thais also proceeded to the next round. Seventh seed Tamachan Momkoonthod moved past Deria Haliza Nur of Indonesia 6-4 6-1, Thitirat Kanaphuet beat He Jiahuan of China 7-5 6-3, Patcharin Cheapchandej ousted Guntisa Boonlaing 6-1 6-1 and Chatchaya Sakchatchawan picked off Marika Kobayashi of Japan 6-3 6-3.
In the other first round matches, Kwan Yau Ng of Hong Kong toppled Julaluck Sae-Eung 6-1 6-1. Madison Bourguignon of the US beat Xin Yuan of China as the latter retired with right elbow injury at 6-3 3-0.
