The Thai No 1, ranked No 787 blast eight aces to the Japanese teenager to win the match and reached his first quarter-finals this year.
“I was playing at the top of my game. I was serving well and stayed aggressive all the time,” said the 21-year-old who will next take on Japanese Renta Tokuda, the conqueror of Chinese top seed Li Zhe in round two.
“He is a solid player. I have to play my game and keep the balls in play,’’ the national Davis Cup player said.
