Mekhong toasts top-ranked newcomer restaurant Odette

Mekhong recently reaffirmed its position as “the Spirit of Thailand” by taking part in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. Mekhong Thai Sabai was served as the welcoming drink at the presentation of the awards.
Thai Beverage senior vice president Kamolnai Chaixanien congratulated Julien Royer on winning the Highest New Entry Award, which was sponsored by Mekhong.
Royer is an award-winning chef and chef-owner at Odette in Singapore, which ranked ninth on the 2017 list of Asia’s best restaurants, the highest new entry in the list’s five-year history.
Opened in late 2015, Odette serves “modern French” cuisine, as guided by Royer’s lifelong respect for seasonality, terroir and artisanal produce.
Termed “Essential Cuisine”, his signature delicate and astutely restrained touch can be seen in his honest and refined treatment of the best produce from around the world.
Housed in the National Gallery Singapore, the restaurant received two Michelin stars in its first year.
