Singha Tour to offer Bt3.38 million prize money

SINGHA OPEN, the first of the five-leg Singha TATP Tour series, got under way at the Impact Tennis Academy in Muang Thong Thani yesterday.

The series offers total prize money of Bt3.38 million. Three events with overall prize money of Bt500,000 each will be played at the academy. The fourth will be staged at the Greta Farm Tennis courts in Pattaya, the first TATP event to be played outside Bangkok for the first time in many years.

The Bt1-million Masters, which selects only the top 8 men and women singles players from the four legs, will be played at Impact Academy from November 14 to 19. After the Singha Open, which will end on Sunday, the second stop is at the Singha Classic in May, followed by the Singha Pattaya Open in August and the Singha TATP Championships in October.
Winners of the junior competition will get a round trip ticket besides accommodation to watch the Australian Open next January.
Meanwhile, Pol Wattakul and Varayawongteanchai were named men’s and women’s players of the year.
