Flynn’s words on Hillary return to haunt him

Former US national security adviser Michael Flynn’s attack on Hillary Clinton seems to have boomeranged on him.

During his interview to NBC News’ “Meet the Press” before the presidential election, Flynn said: “When you are given immunity, that means you have probably committed a crime”. Flynn was reacting to reports that Hillary Clinton had been granted immunity by the Barack Obama government in exchange for talking with the FBI concerning her email server.
Now, Flynn himself is being investigated by Congress for possible involvement in the collusion between the Trump campaign team and Russia. Flynn on March 31 offered to give his cooperation in exchange for immunity.
However, Congressional investigators on the same day rebuffed Flynn’s offer as being too early to discuss a deal. It seems the US democratic situation is looking more and more like those often seen only in the “third world”.
