Many woes stem from different religious beliefs 

Egon (Letters, April 4) quotes JC Wilcox as saying at least Christian evangelists don’t cut people’s heads off.

No. They only invade foreign countries (George W Bush said God told him to invade Iraq) and kill hundreds of thousands of people, which in turn lead to the rise of the Islamic State. Jews and Christians also use The Bible as justification to persecute the Palestinians, which in turn lead to more terrorism from both sides. If Buddhism is the religion of tolerance that Wilcox claims, then perhaps he should set a better example of it. And so should his murderous friends in Myanmar.
