Re: “Actress ‘Anna Reese’ arrested for drunk driving two years after killing policeman”, National, May 23.

Two years ago, I saw the picture of this actress whose Mercedes-Benz crashed into a parked car late at night – instantly killing a police officer who was resting in that vehicle.
The actress-driver fled the scene, only to appear a few days later to report to police (perhaps after she had sobered up, as is customary practice among Thai drunk-drivers after a severe accident).
A few days ago I saw another picture of this actress, offering her apologetic and beautiful “wai” again – this time after being charged with drunk-driving and hitting another car with her BMW.
Might I suggest that the police lock this woman up and confiscate her driver’s licence for good.
People who are drunk or emotionally unstable should not be allowed to drive and thereby risk the lives and property of other road users.
When will the Thai police force man-up and do the right thing?
