Coming to Thailand soon as part of the “Mode of Liaisons” exhibition organised by Bangkok Art and Culture Centre and the Japan Foundation Asia Centre, is “Adobo Monologue”, a short performance from the Philippines about a boy and his relationship with his father, which he narrates to the audience while cooking his speciality – chicken adobo.
Originally staged at the Philippine Educational Theatre Association Theatre Centre, this educational piece has toured different communities to promote the Association’s Arts Zone Project, an advocacy campaign for positive discipline and Save the Children.
The artist will hold a workshop on June 30 at 4pm to 5.30pm (registered audience only) and will perform on July 1 and 2 at 7pm at the multi-function room on the first floor of the BACC.
