Murder and treachery in the Ming dynasty

Set during the Ming dynasty, the film tells the story of the battle for the throne. The Emperor has not appointed a successor in spite of his failing health but has instead invited Qi Wang (Alex Fong) to come to the palace. His presence does not please the populace and those desperate to push Qi Wang out of the running attempt to assassinate him.

Numerous murders occur within the capital and Shen Zi Mu (Huang Wen Hao) of Liu Shan Men turns a blind eye to avoid getting caught in the political warfare. Shen Li Xing (Raymond Lam) balks at his father's cowardice and is determined to proceed with investigations alongside Su Yi Qing (Di Li Re Ba). But the conspiracies behind the deaths may be too big for the entire Liu Shan Men.

The cast also features Raymond Lam, Dilraba Dilmurat, Fang Zhong Xin, Luo Jin, Ying Hao Ming, Guo Rui Xi, Howie Huang, He Zhong Hua, Yoki Sun, and Shen Bao Ping.
