Living here is not a bar to stating discontent
In his response to my opinion that leaving the country is not an option, I quite agree with much of what Buddha S has said.
What he misunderstood was that I was only stating that leaving wasn’t always an option, not that I wanted to leave because of today’s predicament.
I explicitly mentioned the things I wasn’t happy with: the restrictions on freedom of speech, human rights etc. which are subjects I would still write to The Nation about if they continued.
As the saying goes, I made my bed and I will lie in it. I eat well, exercise plenty and sleep soundly. My life has been good and I am not an unhappy man. I just find myself, temporarily, living in a country with some rules I dislike. Don’t worry, Buddha S, the space between my ears has maintained a proper balance and happiness exists there.
I thank you for your reply. It’s always good to get opinions.
