Chappuis is back to national team
Soccer heart-throb Charyl Chappuis has been called back for the national team again for two friendly games against Myanmar and Kenya next months.
The SCG Muangthong’s midfielder is among the 24 players selected by national coach Milovan Rajevac for the October 5’s away game with Mynmar in Mandalay and the October 8’s game with Kenya at the SCG Stadium.
“Seeing my name in the national team again really makes me happy. That means I have done a pretty good job to be in the team again. I feel so proud,” said the 25-year-old Thai-Swiss.
It’s been 191 days since Charyl last appeared in the national team. He was part of the Asian Cup Qualifier squad that lost to Japan 0-4 in the away tie in March.
“I want to prove that I’m good enough for the national team. I’m confident that the coaching staff members will make me come up with my greatest potential. I hope that I will make it to the first team,” he said.
