Toon is popular, but can you say that about PM?

Re: “Toon also a national hero for what he didn’t do”, Have Your Say, December 30.

Chavalit Wannawijitr’s letter sure is a letdown, or I should say bathos.
He wrote: “Artiwara Kongmalai, aka Toon Bodyslam, the 38-year-old member of rock band Bodyslam ...”. Member of rock band Bodyslam? No sir, Chavalit, he is the Bodyslam, same as Mick Jagger is The Rolling Stones, not just a member.
He went on to say – and get this: “His popularity rating eclipses even that of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha – and by a large margin.” Huh? Being popular means people like you, admire you, look up to you and want to be with you. You can’t say that about Prayut, can you?
You English teachers out there, you can use the above letter as a textbook example of anticlimax.
