Einstein said a lot of things, but he didn’t say this

Re: “Trump our lion of nationalism in the Swiss pit of globalist vipers”, Have Your Say, yesterday.

There is no evidence whatsoever that Albert Einstein ever said “I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots.” Sorry, JC, but you goofed up big time.
This quote has gone viral on the Internet. It is often accompanied by images showing young people with eyes glued to smartphones or tablets. Einstein died in 1955; if he had said the above we would have heard it a long, long time ago, yet it only appeared on the Internet around 2010. Another famous quote attributed to Einstein is, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” This one too is fake.  There are a score of quotes floating around that are falsely attributed to Einstein. If you have any doubt, check the Einstein Archives in Jerusalem.
As Einstein once said, “Don’t believe every quote you read on the Internet, because I totally didn’t say that.”
