Having previously called me a hypocrite and a glutton, Eric Bahrt thankfully dispenses with the insults, but instead attempts some amateur psychoanalysis, claiming that Dr Frank and I are trying to convince ourselves that our choice of diet is the right one. That is of course complete nonsense.
I have followed the same diet for nearly seven decades and am entirely happy with it, and I am sure Dr Frank is of a similar opinion.
When a debate reaches this nadir of inanity, it’s clearly time to call a halt. Other contributors such as Jenny Moxham and Diane Cornelius have expressed their views honestly and without rancour, but unfortunately Mr Bahrt falls way below their standards of civility and integrity.
I will save any further letters for other issues, and allow Mr Bahrt to continue expressing his dietary opinions without any response from me. I am sure other readers will also find these exchanges to have become increasingly tedious and pointless.
