The ‘new sheriff in town’ is no hero

It seems to be my turn to have touched an exposed JC Wilcox nerve again, I observe. Now, what follows situates the tone of my missive as a response to his usual self-important guff.

Wilcox has surprisingly emerged, blinking, from the shadows where he usually snipes from behind the safety of clumsy pseudonyms. Having had his ego badly bruised by the truth about himself and his hero Trump – the “new sheriff in town” as he calls him – he, incredibly, informs the readership that my “claims of lies” are “unsubstantiated”. Myopia is a strange thing, methinks, especially when faced with lie after proven lie by his idol Trump, a man that Professor Sarah Churchwell of London University (and Princeton University alumnus) justifiably calls a “carnival huckster running a (chaotic) three-ring circus”.
Wilcox, the preening would-be lexicographer, offers us this gem of unvarnished hypocrisy: “Why not say ‘a load of contrived nonsense’ and ‘an unquestioning servile fool who talks out of his anus’?” How well he describes himself and his antics.
He goes on to say, comically, “But then in plain English it reveals his true obscene, insulting mentality”. Apparently this happens when I am allegedly slapped down by what he claims with hubris to be a “superior intellect”.
A classic example, methinks, of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and that of the brain. But, in mitigation, Wilcox is always good for a laugh. The pity of it is that the laugh is usually on him.
