I am reminded of a book, “Unsafe At Any Speed”, written by Ralph Nader in the 1960s, about the designed-in dangers of American automobiles.
In Thailand (but not solely), “unsafe at any speed” would be applicable to many drivers and riders .
This latest crash is a prime example of this.

Probably just saw the movie “Fast and Furious”. Anyone who disregards others’ safety, never mind thier own, deserves what is coming to them.

I recently drove from Udon Thani to Pattaya with the family, averaging 100-120kph and on occasion would see someone fly by at around 150-160kph.
I really cannot see the need to go over 120kph.
Just sit back, put on your cruise control and some nice music, and enjoy the drive, stopping every two hours for a coffee and a bite to eat. Speed kills.

As Sir Stirling Moss said, “It’s not speed that kills, it’s lack of driver ability.” And he wasn’t talking about Thailand.

Sorry, but [I have] zero sympathy. Thankfully, nobody else was involved with this act of insanity.

How the dashcam footage made it through a 180kph collision and 20 minute fire is astounding. RIP to the poor lady, thankfully nobody else got tangled up in the mess.
