Freedom of speech is a universal principle

I totally agree with Vint Chavala that being a Thai doesn’t disqualify him from commenting on American politics.
But wouldn’t it be nice if he showed the same courtesy to me when, as an American, I write letters that are critical about current affairs in Thailand? Instead he has responded to such letters by personally attacking me and calling me a bad guest. If I’m a bad guest, he’s an even worse host!
Freedom of speech means we have the right to give our opinion about any country in the world, and whether or not we are a citizen of that country is 100-per-cent irrelevant.
