FFP chief wants to dig up foundations of Thai society

FFP chief wants to dig up foundations of Thai society

Recently, Future Forward Party leader Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit declared that becoming prime minister is not his main ambition (www.prachachat.net/politics/news-328455).

Instead he said his ultimate goal is to gain more power and bargaining advantage to exact a “big change” in the country.
People are disturbed by Thanathorn’s words and wording.
Some observers are publicly asking whether Thanathorn’s stated ambition has anything to do with his recent threat to cut the military’s budget. This would weaken the military’s ability to protect the nation, which would weaken the country’s important institutions, which would in turn eventually affect the country’s sovereignty.
Hence, people have the right to ask Thanathorn to explain whether he has ambitions that could endanger the country in the future. He must answer that question clearly.
