Stock up on ready meals for next crisis

As making contact with any government official is very difficult, I thought if you found this tip helpful, you just might know someone who could put this to use for the next time any catastrophe occurs.

No, I have no business interest, with anyone or any product.
Reports covering the flooding this past week seemed to concentrate on the massive job of feeding the distressed thousands of people – engaged in buying products/cooking/packaging and then trying to figure delivery methods/routes. This huge problem was solved many years ago by the US military with the creation of meals ready to eat (MRE). An MRE has a shelf life of 3-5 years, does not require refrigeration, is small, and totally ready to eat. Some are supplied with flameless, chemical heaters for a hot meal and, at last report, there was a menu of 24 entrees. Secure packaging ensures that air drops from up to 100 feet will not rupture the package. These were used very successfully in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
The loss of food stored by FROC at Don Mueang would not have happened, food would have reached recipients much faster and the preparers could move on to other needed projects. The US military could send more info, if asked, and MREs can even be purchased on E-bay, Amazon, and other websites. They are very affordable at about US$5 (Bt153) each in large quantities. There is absolutely no waste, and they are deliverable in minutes or hours, not days. Truly a win-win situation for the givers and receivers.
