Lauding Dr Seree Supharatid, director of Rangsit University’s Centre on Climate Change and Disaster for giving us timely knowledge of the flood is most appropriate in giving credit where it is due.
I would also like to give credit to the television channel, Thai PBS, without whom we would not know this man with great knowledge of water, and skill in presentation. Also, credit should go to TPBS’ anchor lady, Darin Klong-Ugkara, who knows when to keep quiet and when to interrupt – unlike the anchor ladies of many channels who seem to have more interest in presenting themselves than the invited guests.
However, the English session of Dr Seree’s daily report is painful to watch and follow. I just wish that his report could be simply read by that excellent and natural male moderator whose command of English is unsurpassable.
